At Grandad's House solo exhibition- Off the Kerb Gallery 2024 Pencil and toned paper, vintage frames and fabrics used Full catalogue here AT GRANDAD'S HOUSE is a nostalgic escape to simpler times past.
Lovingly recreated in the gallery space, Grandad’s lounge room houses the artist’s hand drawn paper butterflies and insects.
Combining pencil on toned paper and vintage materials- often reminiscent of fabrics, textures and colour palettes direct from her childhood. Jen Selmore invites you to take a comforting step back to childhood summer’s spent at Grandad’s house where the towering roses and daisies provided ample coverage for hide and seek while butterflies flitted about in the sun.
And inside always a cosy place to sit and read one of the hundreds of books off the shelves.
